This Study aims to explain the types of code-switching, and the factors of code-switching in Bukan Empat Mata Talk Show. This study focuses on the utterances in Bukan Empat Mata Talk Show. The source of data was the conversations between two speakers in Bukan Empat Mata Talk Show.
This study was conducted using descriptive qualitative design. The research instrument was the writer herself. The writer collected the data by conversation in Bukan Empat Mata Talk Show.
The researcher shows the types and contributing factor to code-switching. In terms of types, they are intra-sentential switching (8 data ) and emblematic switching (12 data ). Additionally, there are four factors of code-switching, they are the participants, social context, the topic, and the purpose.
