Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik peternak,
mengetahui tingkat motivasi peternak dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang
mempengaruhi tingkat motivasi peternak. jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 43
peternak. metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah anaisis deskriptif, deskriptif
kualitatif dan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peternak di
Desa Ketapang Timur termasuk dalam usia sangat produktif, dengan tingkat
pendidikan yang relatif rendah. Jumlah kepemilikan ternak tergolong kecil, dengan
pengalaman >10 tahun dan memiliki jumlah tanggungan keluarga sedang (3-5
orang). tingkat motivasi peternak tergolong dalam kategori sedang dilihat dari motif
ekonomi, dan termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dilihat dari motif non ekonomi.
Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat motivasi yaitu pengalaman
peternak dan pendapatan. Sedangkan variabel kemudahan dalam budidaya dan
kemudahan pemasaran tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat motivasi peternak.
