Abstract

ABSTRAK
Kabupaten pamekasan merupakan sentra penghasil garam terbesar kedua dari 4
kabupaten di Pulau Madura salah satunya berada di Desa Lembung. Metode
produksi garam dilakukan dengan 2 cara yaitu metode tradisional (alas tanah)
dan metode modern (teknologi geomembran). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui persepsi petambak garam dalam menggunakan teknologi
geomembran dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Sampel pada penelitian
ini sebanyak 80 responden yang merupakan petambak garam di Desa Lembung.
Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu Analisis Deskriptif dan Model Regresi
Logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi petambak garam yang
menggunakan teknologi geomembran maupun yang menggunakan cara
tradisional di Desa Lembung secara keseluruhan termasuk dalam kategori
sangat setuju terhadap indikator-indikator yang melekat pada teknologi
geomembran terutama pada indikator kualitas garam, jumlah produksi,
kristalisasi dan pendapatan petambak garam. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi
keputusan petambak garam dalam menggunakan teknologi geomembran di
Desa Lembung yaitu tingkat pendapatan, umur dan tingkat pendidikan.
