Abstract

Indonesia memiliki banyak jenis hewan yang dapat dimanfaatkan manusia salah satunya yaitu sebagai hewan peliharaan untuk kepentingan hobi. Murai Batu Medan merupakan burung berkicau yang keberadaannya langkah dihabitatnya. Sehingga saat ini Murai Batu dilestarikan dengan cara di tangkarkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi sumber-sumber risiko dan menganalisis strategi penangkaran burung Murai Batu Medan. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode interaksi yaitu dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara dengan bantuan kuesioner kepada responden. Risiko yang pernah terjadi di penangkaran burung Murai Batu Medan bersumber dari risiko sosial, fisik dan ekonomi. Strategi penangkaran yang dilakukan oleh penangkar Murai Batu Medan adalah manajemen strategi ex-ante, strategi interactive dan strategi ex-post.
