Abstract
ABSTRAK
Kascing merupakan kotoran cacing yang dapat berguna untuk pupuk. Kandungan kascing tergantung bahan organik dan jenis cacingnya, namun umumnya mengandung unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman seperti nitrogen, fosfor, mineral, vitamin.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kascing terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil pada jagung manis. Perlakuan berupa takaran yakni tanpa takaran (D0). 1,12 kg/petak (D1), 1,28 kg/petak (D2), 1,44 kg/petak (D3), ukuran petak 3 x 1,5 m.
Rancangan percobaan menggunakan RAK, analisis data menggunakan metode ANSIRA dan uji lanjut BNT 5%. Hasil ANSIRA menunjukkan tidak beda nyata terhadap parameter pertumbuhan dan produksi kecuali pada parameter luas daun. Variabel produksi buah (panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol berkelobot, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot, bobot tongkol per 100 biji menunjukkan perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada D1.
