Abstract
Penempatan tata letak fasilitas produksi harus mempertimbangkan tentang
material handling dan luas area yang dibutuhkan. Dari pengamatan langsung
yang telah dilakukan pada industri furnitur menunjukkan adanya jarak tempuh
yang kurang wajar dan mengidentifikasikan penyusunan tata letak fasilitas
produksi yang kurang baik sehingga mengurangi produktifitas dari proses
produksi karena banyak membuang tenaga karyawan. Dalam penelitian ini
mencoba untuk menerapakan metode Systematic Layout Planning dan Simulated
Annealing, input dari kedua metode tersebut berupa aliran material, frekuensi
perpindahan dan luas tiap departemen. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mereduksi momen perpindahan total pada tata letak fasilitas produksi
