Abstract

Penggunaan mobil dinas sangatlah penting bagi berjalannya suatu
perusahaan namun penggunaan yang tidak semestinya dapat
menyebabkan pembengkakan biaya transportasi.
Penelitian terdahulu telah membuktikan bahwa perangkat GPS Android
dan Google Maps mampu untuk melacak keberadaan perangkat
bergerak.Dalam tugas akhir ini diasumsikan perangkat android di
tanamkan pada dashboard kendaraan, lalu dikembangkan sistem
monitoring berbasis GPS Tracking. Pengiriman Data Location Based
Service (LBS) perangkat GPS pada smartphone android digunakan
untuk menentukan koordinat disisi client yang dikirimkan melalui
jaringan internet ataupun SMS (Short Message Service), data yang
diperoleh akan dilakukan proses pining lalu hasil pining tersebut
diproyeksikan menggunakan Google Maps sehingga akan diperoleh
aplikasi yang mampu memonitoring posisi mobil dinas.
