Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui miskonsepsi siswa pada materi listrik
statis. Listrik statis adalah listrik yang diam untuk sementara pada suatu benda.
Tes miskonsepsi pada listrik statis dilakukan karena materi ini membutuhkan
pemahaman yang lebih tinggi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X yang terdiri
dari 60 siswa dari 3 kelas. Instrumen test yang digunakan terdiri dari 15 soal
listrik statis dengan metode four tier test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat
47% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, 7% siswa paham konsep, 36% siswa tidak
paham, dan 10% siswa error. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa faktor
penyebab miskonsepsi adalah kemampuan siswa, minat belajar, konsep awal
siswa, intuisi yang salah dan buku siswa.
