A Study Pre-sequences in Quick English Conversation Recording

This study is focused on Pre-sequence found in Quick English conversation recording. This study aims to explain the types of pre-sequence and to explain the functions of Pre-sequence Used By Speaker in Quick English conversation recording.
This writer uses qualitative design since the data are in the form of words. The data of this study were taken from the utterances produced By Speaker in Quick English conversation recording. The data were collected by using observation method. In analyzing data, the writer uses interactive data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman Hardiansyah:(2011).
The results show that there are 16 data found in this study. They are classified into 5 types of pre-sequence. They are pre-request (8 data), pre-invitation (3 data), pre-annoncement (5 data). There are 7 functions of pre-sequence, those are confirming (9 data), suggestion (2 data), begging (1 data), notifying (7 data), explaining (1 data) and persuiding (1 data).
