Abstract

ABSTRAK
Blotong merupakan limbah padat hasil penggilingan tebu yang bersifat lunak,
berwarna coklat tua sampai hitam dan bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk. Tujuan
penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis pupuk organik
blotong terhadap pertumbuhan awal tanaman tebu (Saccharum officinarum L.)
keprasan pada tanah grumosol. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan
Jurusan Agroekoteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Trunojoyo Madura
pada bulan Januari 2014 sampai dengan bulan Maret 2014 dengan ketinggian
tempat ±3 m di atas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan
Acak Kelompok (RAK) non faktorial, 4 perlakuan dengan 5 kali ulangan.
Perlakuan yang dicoba adalah pemberian dosis pupuk organik blotong : 0 ton/ha
(B0), 7,5 ton/ha (B1), 12,5 ton/ (B2) 17,5 ton/ha (B3). Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis pupuk organik blotong memberikan
pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter panjang tanaman, luas daun, jumlah
anakan dan diameter batang, namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun
pada umur 12 minggu setelah pemupukan. Dosis pupuk organik blotong 17,5
ton/ha (B3) cenderung menghasilkan jumlah anakan dan diameter batang yang
lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya.
