Figurative Language on Pande Manoylov’s Pain: New Criticism Approach

Literature is a notion that used for kinds of activity especially in education. On the other hand, literature is a step to get an information as textual or written. There are many kinds of literary work such as poetry, novel, plays, etc. Pain is a poem written by Pande Manoyloy which contains the story of war in Palestina. Therefore, this study is intended to discuss about (1) Figurative Language on Pande Manoylov’s Pain. (2) The massage revealed from the poem.
To analyze the poem, the theory of New Criticism Especially Figurative Language is found in Pande Manoylov’s Pain. In the other hand, there are many kinds of Figurative language used to analyzed this poem, such as Imagery, Symbol, Rhyme, Alliteration, Paradox and Irony. This study aims to answer the question in the statement of the research problem. The first is figurative language are found in Pande Manoylov’s Pain, and the second the massage revealed from the poem.
The result of this study shows many figurative language was found in the poem such as Imagery, Symbol, Rhyme, Alliteration, Paradox and Irony. Every kinds of figurative language have indirect meaning about the condition of Palestine and show the massage can be learnt from the poem which is about the infamy of Israel to dominate Palestine. Moreover, the Palestinian will fight with all method to defense their land. Then, Palestinian also teach us about struggling and beliefs to our god. The poem also teaches us to beliefs our god. If Allah always involved in life, then Allah will make it easy to complete.
