Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran PBI dengan pendekatan Open Ended terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dan dilaksanakan di SMPN 5 Bangkalan dengan populasi semua siswa kelas VII Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 kelas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, angket, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, pengamatan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran PBI dengan pendekatan Open Ended terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis sangat efektif digunakan untuk pembelajaran, (2) Hasil rata-rata N Gain Score eksperimen 0,64 dan kontrol 0,42, (3) Hasil rekapitulasi keterlaksanaan 92%, (4) Hasil rekapitulasi angket respon 84%.
