Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas hasil belajar IPS antara siswa yang
mengikuti pembelajaran kooperatif tipe cooperative integrated reading and composition
(CIRC) dans iswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah pada siswa SD
kelas IV di SDN Mandala 1 Sumenep .Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan
kuantitatif, dengan Quasi experimental design dengan teknik Nonequivalent Control
group Design, instrument penelitiann ini teshasil belajar, observasi aktivitas guru dan
siswa serta angket respon siswa. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling
jenuh. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan nilait

yaitu3.407 > 2.120, maka H0
ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan efektivitas model pembelajaran
Kooperatif Tipe CIRC Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS sangat
efektif dengan observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan sangat
baik, serta respon siswa yang baik dengan menggunakan model CIRC.
