Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Budaya Universitas Trunojoyo Madura.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Prestise Pengantin Pria Dalam
Tradisi Bhan-Gibhan di Desa Keleyan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode
kualitatif dalam bentuk deskriptif. Pemilihan sampel secara purposive sampling
dan mendapatkan 3 subjek primer dan 3 subjek sekunder. Metode pengumpulan
data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu
model Miles and Huberman. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa prestise
pengantin pria dalam tradisi bhan-gibhan dilihat dari empat aspek yaitu
keberartian, kekuatan, kompetensi dan kebajikan. Dari keempat aspek, hampir
seluruh subjek mempunyai jawaban yang relatif sama. Sehingga dari sini dapat
dilihat adanya prestise pengantin pria dalam tradisi bhan-gibhan.
