This study aims to explain the types of structural ambiguity and factorsthat cause the structural ambiguities that are found in Ed Sheeran Song Albums. This study uses two theories to analyze the data. Those are Kreidler (1998) theory and Ullmann’s (1962) theory. The sources of data are three albums of Ed Sheeran and the data are the phrases and sentences that contain structural ambiguity. This study is conducted by applying a descriptive qualitative research design because the data are in the form of phrases and sentences. The data of this study are the ambiguous phrase and sentence which are taken from Ed Sheeran Song Albums. The results show two types of structural ambiguity found in Ed Sheeran song albums. There are surface structure ambiguity (17 data) and deep structure ambiguity (6 data). The writer also findstwo of three factors that cause the structural ambiguity to occur in Ed Sheeran song albums, those are grammatical forms factors (6 data) and equivocal phrasing factor (17 data).
