HOMOSEXUALITY IN BECKY ALBERTALLI’S NOVEL SIMON VS THE HOMO SAPIENS AGENDA

Homosexuality is a sexual desire that is directed towards members of
one’s sex that has existed for a long decade until it was accepted by society. This
study is aimed at analyzing the issues of homosexuality especially to gay men in
the novel Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda. The research of a qualitative study
applying an analysis method. The finding of the research shows about the issues
of homosexuality that happened to the gay men characters in the novel and the
discussionis about the community reactions and the experience of gay men when
negotiating their sexuality in the process of coming out to (1) family (2) friends
and (3) social.
