The theories proposed by Pavlik (2009) and Davies (2010) were used to analyse the data. This analysis was carried out by using qualitative research recommended by Hancock (2007). The data of this analysis were collected from “Pojok Madura” on April, 28th 2015 edition. The method of collecting data was non-participant observation method proposed by Kothari (2004). To analyse the data, the researcher applied the theory of method of analysing data based on Miles and Huberman (1994).
There are 26 data found. The data are classified into 2 of 5 types of assimilation, 15 data are included to regressive assimilation and 11 data are included to progressive assimilation. Furthermore, there are 4 of 5 features found, voicing (7 data) and place of articulation (11 data). Additionally, the rest of the data have more than one features which affect the data turn into assimilated sounds. It affects the researcher to add two more features, those are: double features (4 data) and complex features (4 data). The result of this current study shows different result of the previous study.
